Valerie Modreski
Ms. Modreski has worked as a writer for over 30 years. Valerie began her career on the editorial staff of the Broward College academic newspaper and has since published freelance for a wide variety of publications. She currently lives in East-Central Florida and is the proud parent of a son who attends Florida Atlantic University.
Valerie's writing interest and genres vary but she specializes in canine related issues and dog welfare. She also holds specialized training and certifications in horticulture, ecology, animal abuse awareness and animal behavior. Valerie feels strongly about the "written word" and says, "Stories change us. When we read something powerful and positive it leads us to make better decisions. A lot of what we read has the potential to make us better people."
